Supporting citizens to push for free and fair elections in Pakistan

Earlier this year, to support a free and fair election, Bytes for All in Pakistan created a citizen reporting platform and provided journalism training to 40 citizens. Following the success of this project they are now working to support a ‘shadow government’ that monitors, tracks and reports on whether elected politicians are living up to their election promises. In this video, Furhan Hussain tells us all about it.

 

Furhan (@FuranHussainis an activist and a management professional based in Karachi. He is associated with Bytes for All (@bytesforall), Pakistan, and his core focus revolves around digital rights advocacy and digital security trainings. His interests include freedom of expression, privacy and censorship issues, gender, art, and environment.
